I can hardly talk to the guy I'm in "like" with.

He knows who I am, and is always friendly when I do talk to him. I wouldn't say we're friends; we're not that close. More like classmates. I'd really like to at least become his friend so that I could possibly take the next step, but.... like I said, I'm really shy.

I never have any idea how to go up and just start talking to him without coming on too strong. I've always had trouble making friends.

Please.... help.

Firstly, take a deep breath and try to have a calm state of mind when thinking about approaching this guy. Try not to tink about it as the end of the world if he doesnt respond how you want him too. I know thats easier said than done!

If you take the softy softy approach he may not get the idea that you want to be more than friends, you may end up getting stuck in the 'friend zone'

If you want to be more than friends and go on a date with him, I suggest being frank and start by talking about your weekends plans, ask him what his plans are and maybe suggest you spend some time together.

I know thats coming on strong and its scary, but its good to get a clear message out there sometimes. If he doesnt reply with something you want to hear, then like I said, dont take it as the end of the world. Maybe its not the right time for anything to happen between you two.
