Im 26 years old and after a really long and hard time in college i finally graduated in september. I have been looking for a job since before i finished school but havent had any luck. I do have a part time job that ive had for the last 4 years and thats been my only income, contrary to what some may think, I have been looking for a job, nonstop, feeling out over 150 applications in the last few months. The bills are starting to pile up and 2 weeks after finishing school I ended up at the emergency room with gallstones this adding over $6,000.00 to my debt. I am currently living with my parents which is becoming extremely uncomfortable with to many people in the house. I cant really help them since I barely make enough to cover my own and I know if I moved out it would help them a little but at the same time it will hurt them because Im the only one that helps them, by driving them around and such. My last idea was to get a job with a cruise line, because that way i wont be living at home but i wont have to get my own place either and i can use that money to pay my bills and help my parents. Im just feeling so frustrated because it seems everything is going wrong... dont know what to do!

First of all congrats on finishing college. As difficult as it is right now for you to find a job, could you imagine how much harder it would be without a degree. Understand that it is a rough time for everyone right now who is unemployed. It isn't you!
Finding the right job is difficult and it will take some time. You are only 26 and you don't have a mortgage---that is definitely a plus. Look at it this way, your are helping you parents by living with them right now. Perhaps you should look at that aspect as a blessing. You get to spend some time with them and assist them in their everyday living struggles. Meanwhile keep searching and something great will come your way.
Have you thought about getting your teaching credentials...or substitute teaching? In many state all you need to have is a college degree to be accepted as a substitute teacher. They make very good money and the work is steady in most districts.
